DESCRIPTION:How small can you weave? Using a variety of local materials\, s
 tudents will create their own miniature baskets using finely prepared ceda
 r bark\, spruce root\, basswood bark and other local materials. Weaving sm
 all takes skill and patience and challenges one's weaving abilities as the
  tiny basket takes shape. Plan to make several baskets\, either individual
  or in pairs for jewelry. Important: weaving experience is required. Stude
 nts must be comfortable with twining or pairing. Required Tools Please pro
 vide your own magnifying glass if needed. We will have good lighting\, but
  do what you need to work small. Session Information This course is part o
 f Basket Week 2026. Plan to stick around for the Gathering Day on Friday\,
  October 9\, which features demonstrations\, speakers\, and community gath
 erings offered as a benefit to students enrolled in Basket Week coursework
