DESCRIPTION:Wool\, water\, and agitation allows for a world of possibilitie
 s. We will explore what wool can become\, each day focusing on a different
  method of wet felting. Wool becomes the medium for painting\, for sculptu
 re\, for practical and durable items. With four days there will be time to
  gain comfort and skill working with wool\, practice on small items and th
 en dream up and execute personal projects. We will explore different sheep
  breeds\, mixing colors\, designing with pre-felts while we make 1. flat f
 elts (tablerunners\, seat cozies\, placemats\, potholders) 2. stuffed 3D i
 tems (stuffed animals\, abstract sculptures) 3. hollow felted items (vesse
 ls\, bowls\, oven mitts) and 4. nuno felting (scarves\, luminaries)\, usin
 g silk and wool combined. Students' personal style will come through as th
 ey design their own projects. Felting is a physical craft using body energ
 y to coax fibers into felt. Be prepared for surprises and amazed by can be
  created in four days! Students should have the ability to stand and agita
 te wool. Additional materials fee may apply if larger projects are made. S
 tudents ages 14+ may register for this course independently. Youth ages 10
 + are welcome to register with an adult. Adult/child pairs will complete t
 wo projects and pay two materials fees. A 25% tuition discount applies to 
 the youth registrant when registering with a full-paying adult\; call to r
