Workshops are geared towards adults and ages 16+. For this workshop, ages 13+ can be registered and attend with a registered adult. Register all in party. There is an abundance of natural plant medicine all around us: from your backyard to the backcountry. This Autumn Plant Medicine Workshop will focus on fall plant medicines, especially roots + fruits, and preserving the abundance of the warm season for use during the cold months. Learn to identify some of these useful medicinal plants you might find in Central Oregon on a plant walk in the morning. After our plant walk, we will work together to process some plants and turn them into medicine and personal care products, such as salves, tinctures, teas, and syrups. Over the course of the day, we will learn to identify local medicinal plants, how to harvest safely, ethically, and sustainably, how to make our own medicines safely, and take some medicines home with us. Info on location, waivers, what to bring and more will be emailed to you in the weeks before class.
