Blacksmithing: The Next Step

For those looking to level up their blacksmithing skills in the way that only an immersive hands-on environment can do (sorry YouTube), look no further. This course is designed to continue the skills of the blacksmith beyond the basics. Students should have some experience in forging before entering this class. We will jump right into forging some specialty high carbon tools for projects throughout the class such as decorative punches and gouges. Additional projects will include stylized leaf making, ram's head sculpting, advanced twisting and a multi-piece construction project through forge welding and riveting. This course is focused on creating artistic blacksmith projects and the specialty tools needed to create your own unique art. Youth ages 14+ are welcome to register with an adult, provided that they have appropriate experience. A 25% tuition discount applies to the youth registrant when registering with a full-paying adult; call to register.
