The Hunter September 15-30 Blikberget, Norway 1500 EUR/ 16,500 NOK Contact Livingwildinfo@gmail.com to register In the first section of this class you get to learn the traditional hunting methods of archery and primitive trapping skills in a fun and informative way as we explore techniques for effective hunting of large and small game. Bring your own bow from home or let us know if you wish to borrow a bow. (No animals will be hunted during the first week.) The second segment includes the animal processing class during which we will be participating in the annual moose hunt with our local hunting team. This part will give you an understanding of modern hunting methods using firearms and hunting dogs. (We have a quota for harvesting several moose, class participants may sit with a hunter but will not be using firearms themselves- see the Animal processing class description for more details) Class content includes; Archery techniques Dead fall traps and snares Tracking and trailing Large animal processing: Hide working Bone working Organ preparation Cooking, preservation and recipes For the first segment please bring an additional 1000 NOK (about 85 euros) for breakfast and dinners that are cooked by participants on a rotational basis. Students should bring their own snack lunches that can be packed for excursions and do not require cooking.
