Tracking, Stalking, and Seeing Wildlife, with Nicholas WazeeGale

This class will build knowledge of our local wildlife, as well as skills needed for seeing more of their lives - both in personal encounters and in observation of the sign and tracks they leave us. These skills of awareness are useful in a variety of nature-based hobbies, from photography to hunting, and/or simply for connecting and learning more about our local wilderness through observation. We will spend the day outdoors, covering uneven and potentially challenging terrain. Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026 Time: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM Lunch will be provided. Ages: 12+ (ages 12-17 with a participating adult) Location: Rural La Farge, WI Instructions: Please dress in neutral, earthy tones. Wear fabrics that don't make a lot of noise (no nylon) and that fit well and break up your outline. Any shoes should be ok but try to wear thinner soled shoes that allow some feeling of the ground underfoot as you walk. Bring a small backpack that can carry some water, any shed layers, and whatever else you will need while out for the day. Sliding Scale Course Fee Guidelines Supporter Level Ticket: $130 If you move through the world with financial ease and the means to fulfill many of your wants as well as your needs – you are able to eat out when you want, abundantly meet your needs through employment or can comfortably not work, have access to family wealth, own property, etc. – consider paying at this level, which will help us ensure the long term sustainability of our programs while keeping our offerings accessible to those with access to fewer resources.
