Certification Course

DMM’s hybrid Wilderness First Responder Recertification Course (WRC) refreshes the basics, delivers the latest peer-reviewed best practices and industry updates, reviews industry case studies, all while providing a contextual scenario-based learning experience. Course participants will build the confidence to respond to an emergency and manage patients requiring prolonged field care. Students must have a current WFR certification from DMM or another provider who follows the certification guidelines set forth by the Wilderness Medicine Education Collaborative (WMEC). Your Hybrid WFR Recertification consists of two parts: Online Section Approximately 8 hours of self-paced pre-course work Available one month before the in-person section Must be completed before the first day of in-person class Included in the cost of the WFR Recertification course In-person Class 2 days in-person Builds skills through realistic, hands-on scenario practice CPR and AED included Registration Information This course is offered through our course provider - Jackson Hole Outdoor Leadership Institute and is open to the public.
